I am a nomadic artist based in Berlin working on the intersection of visual art, performance, moving images and applied research. My work investigates transitional states, fragmented realities and the conception of the human condition as absurd. In this context my pieces revolve around the notion of space, time, identity and the sensation of being fluid in between these parameters. This is reflected in an aesthetic of layers and sensitive imageries that always remain indefinite.

Propositions artistiques en échange de la résidence (oeuvres, cours, ateliers, dîner, concert...) : I will be happy to leave you a work of art, inspired by my stay and the surrounding.
Description du lieu recherché (nature, urbain, autre) : In order to fully concentrate on my projects I hope to get out of Berlin for a while. Any place is welcome, may it be in an urban or natural environment. My work is very often informed by places I have been for some time, so I am longing to discover something new.
Quels sont vos projets de résidence ? : At the moment I am investigating the relation of nature/culture. After having completed a video installation called "some star dust matter" for Triennial of Photography in Hamburg I want to focus on making a short movie taking the installation as a starting point. For that I need some time to read, reflect, write and sketch. At the same moment I hope to start a more spontaneous, applied project inspired by the landscape that I find at the residency.

    Je suis une artiste autodidacte, et mon travail se déploie dans un univers vibrant et coloré, entre peinture et sculpture, où les formes et motifs cernés de noir trouvent leur énergie dans l’intuition et l’instinct. Mon univers est inspiré par le fauvisme, les arts populaires d’Amérique latine et d’Inde, les arts premiers, et par l’art brut, pour sa liberté et sa force expressive. Je compose des figures féminines et des créatures hybrides, accompagnées de motifs décoratifs et symboliques, donnant naissance à des formes presque totémiques, reconnaissables dès le premier regard.

    I am a self-taught artist, and my work unfolds in a vibrant and colorful universe, between painting and sculpture, where forms and patterns outlined in black draw their energy from intuition and instinct.

    My artistic world is inspired by Fauvism, the folk arts of Latin America and India, tribal arts, and Art Brut for its freedom and expressive power. I create female figures and hybrid creatures, accompanied by decorative and symbolic motifs, giving rise to almost totemic forms that are recognizable at first glance.
