Bonjour, je m’appelle Juan Camarena (36 ans). Je suis un peintre mexicain et un auteur de bandes dessinées. Je suis actuellement en voyage en France avec mon épouse Amanda (30 ans), originaire d’Italie. Et je cherche un endroit où je peux travailler dans mes projets.

 

Hi, my name is Juan Camarena (36), I’m a mexican painter and comic author, and I’m currently traveling through France with my wife Amanda (30), from Italy. And I’m looking for a place where I can work in my projects.

Propositions artistiques en échange de la résidence (oeuvres, cours, ateliers, dîner, concert...) : Au moins, j’offre un portrait peint, à l’huile (format A3) ou à l’encre (format A4), à la demande de l’hôte. At least, I offer one painted portrait, oils (size A3) or inks (Size A4), of whoever the host wants.
Description environment are you looking for ( nature, urban, other…) : Urbain ou nature, ça me va. Urban or nature it's ok for me.
Describe your projects for a residence : Je travaille actuellement sur deux projets. 1.- Un roman graphique, et 2.- Une série de portraits à l'huile. I'm currently working on two projects. 1.- A Graphic Novel, and 2.- A series of oil portraits.

Description of the type of workspace needed (office, studio, rehearsal space…) : J'ai besoin d'un studio avec une bonne ventilation, wifi, un bureau et une chaise. I need an studio with good ventilation, wifi, a desk and a chair.

    Intéressée depuis très jeune par les mots, le langage et l’écriture, et par les réalités qu’ils permettent, je suis nourri par le travail d’autrice qui défendent l’importance de l’écriture d’histoires nouvelles comme un outil nécessaire aux changements écologiques, sociaux et politiques. Elles présentent l’écriture de (nouveaux) récits comme un moyen pour créer des espaces de soin et de liberté pour « calmer la tempête et reconstruire des lieux paisibles » Par ma pratique, je cherche à donner corps à ces nouveaux récits, à produire des espaces de transmission et d’expériences au-delà des délimitations du livre. Les mots comme la matière hébergent ensemble la narration des possibles, leur dialogue m’intéresse particulièrement. poèmes, nouvelles, écrits de recherche sur nos relations au vivant, dessins.. se transforment en carnet de route pour la réalisation d’installations, de vidéo ou de piste sonore.
