Hello,

My name is Manon, I am 28 years old. I am a visual artist and poet. I work with painting, drawing, digital collage and writing to create visual narratives of new possible and existing worlds. 

My work breaks binary oppositions such as nature/culture, human/non-human, past/future which I consider co-inhabiting the same experience of the world. I explore these tensions through a surrealist aesthetic, placing disturbing characters in everyday settings, both familiar and strange.

I draw inspiration from symbols from the history of art as much as from my own memory, to enrich the symbolisms. I deal in particular with themes such as leisure, vacations and the apocalypse. My approach, nourished by ecofeminism, seeks to question our lifestyles and our connection to living things, between the desire to escape and the need for reconnection.

Being welcomed into your home to create would be a great opportunity to deepen this research in a lively and warm setting, conducive to exchanges.

Propositions artistiques en échange de la résidence (oeuvres, cours, ateliers, dîner, concert...) : In exchange for hospitality, I offer: - the creation of a work in situ or inspired by the place, - artistic workshops around drawing, collage or poetic writing (adaptable to adults and children), - a performed reading of my texts in an intimate format, - or a shared meal where I can present my work and discuss my creative process. I am open to co-constructing an artistic moment that also corresponds to your desires.
Description environment are you looking for ( nature, urban, other…) : I am open to different types of places (urban, rural, isolated or shared). The ideal for me would be a seaside environment, but this is not a necessary condition. What matters above all is the welcome, the human connection and the possibility of anchoring yourself for a while in an inspiring daily life.
Describe your projects for a residence : During this residency, I would like to work on producing a self-published book, combining illustrations and text. This project brings together my practice of writing and visual arts around my short story The Girls of the Vase. My intention is to experiment with different techniques (painting, drawing, digital collage) to create a series of images linked to the story, exploring rhythm, materials, visual and narrative correspondences. The residency would allow me to fully immerse myself in this process of cross-creation, to have a space-time dedicated to visual research, writing, editorial editing and the production of the book.

    Bonjour !     Hello everyone, I am a Franco-Swiss artist, and my work is inspired by natural forms, especially water. I have created two series in direct contact with rain or waves. I love discovering new places and meeting wonderful people. I have exhibited in many different venues and galleries in Paris and New York, and recently had an exhibition in Taiwan. I am preparing my next exhibition. I am calm, respectful, independent and warm. I lived for a long time in New York and Lausanne, and I enjoy reconnecting with France.
