Independent visual artist looking for studio-based residency – Fine Arts

I am a visual artist working between sculpture and installation, exploring transformation, rhythm, and the relationship between material and perception. I’m currently looking for a residency or studio in Portugal where I can continue developing my work in a space that supports experimentation and exchange.

I’m interested in contexts that combine production and reflection —places where artists can work independently while being part of a shared environment of dialogue and collaboration.

Propositions artistiques en échange de la résidence (oeuvres, cours, ateliers, dîner, concert...) : I can offer an original artwork created during the residency, organize an open studio, or host a conversation about process and material experimentation with the local community.
Description environment are you looking for ( nature, urban, other…) : Urban / or semi-industrial / or natural environment with natural light and space for large-scale work. Ideally within a community engaged with contemporary art and collective practice.
Describe your projects for a residence : During the residency, I intend to continue my research on spatial perception and transformation through sculptural and reflective structures. I’m interested in how materials behave under stress or vibration and how those dynamics can translate into visual rhythm. The project will involve building small-scale prototypes that test physical balance, resonance, and movement as perceptual experiences.

    I have been drawing since I was very young and have always had a passion for comics. I like observing and drawing the world around me: animals, people in the street, in cafés, on trains, and musicians, as I am also a singer (I have a band and sing in a Baroque orchestra). I am looking for a place for a week or more, in order to make live sketches, meet people and create connections. Stories to tell, songs to share, in a calm setting, in nature or in an inspiring place.
