Creative week experience in Matera. European capital of culture 2019

I’m a graphic designer and entrepreneur for creative projects in Matera European Capital of culture for 2019. Four years ago I started my own business, Residenza del Maestro. A residence for artists and creative people from all over the world involved into artistic and creative projects.
I like to create networks between people and partecipate to common creative projects about painting, music, filming. I organized lots of events with important local “Maestros” in order to connect young creative people with old expert crafters and artists in Puglia and Basilicata. I cultivate my big passion for Mediterranean culture and all its forms of expressions.
The sharing experience will follow next steps:
1) Meeting up.
According to the skills of each participant we’ll create a creative path after a common discussion of visions and targets.

2) Planning the creative experience.
The partecipant will take his/her space inside the house and will decide how much time to spend in the house and which tools needing in order to realize his/her creative project.

3) Sites inspection.
The participants and me will visit togheter the most interesting place in town and around Matera, looking for landscapes, stories and building. We’ll meet expert crafters and artist in their laboratories and studios

4) Creative production.
In the common spaces on the main terrace of Residenza del Maestro the participants will create his artistic product. The most of tools needing are available in the studio: lathe, gouges for wod, printing press, canvas and brushes, colours.

5) Exhibition.
At the end of each week an exhibition will be organized in partnership with a local art gallery or art cafè in the city center where artistic products can be showed or sold to everyone.
