L’Albarine is an old country house located in Lautrec, one hour from Toulouse, with a tradition of welcoming artists and organizing cultural events with and for the local community.

In this residence musical concerts, exhibitions, writing workshops, meetings of social organizations, etc., are organized in collaboration with various local associations.

L’Albarine is a house where each person can find one’s place. It is a favorable place for artistic creation for all kinds of disciplines. We have a stage, a room for concerts and presentations, open spaces, gardens, bucolic landscapes, and the charm of the countryside of southern France.

The philosophy of L’Albarine is the openness to all kinds of people, and the respectful coexistence among the members of the community in a family environment.

L’Albarine est un ancien corps de ferme situé à Lautrec, à une heure de Toulouse, qui accueille traditionnellement des artistes et organise des événements culturels avec et pour la communauté locale.

Dans cette résidence, des concerts de musique, des expositions, des ateliers d’écriture, des réunions de partenaires sociaux, etc., sont organisés en collaboration avec diverses associations locales.

L’Albarine est une maison où chaque personne peut trouver sa place. C’est un lieu propice à la création artistique pour toutes sortes de disciplines. Nous avons une scène, une salle pour des concerts et des présentations, des espaces ouverts, des jardins, des paysages bucoliques et le charme de la campagne du sud de la France.

La philosophie de L’Albarine est l’ouverture à toutes sortes de personnes et la coexistence respectueuse entre les membres de la communauté dans un environnement familial.

Description of the area and neighborhood : The house is located in Lautrec, a medieval town with great social and cultural activities. The people open their houses to hold events and to organize various festivities every year where inhabitants take part. The town has a cultural café, the famous Café Plùm. The village of Lautrec and the nearest bus stop are 4.5 km away so it is recommended to have a car or to enjoy walking, if not the host is willing to drive you. ------------------------------ La maison est située à Lautrec, une ville médiévale dont l'activité sociale et culturelle est particulièrement riche. Les Lautrécois ouvrent leurs maisons pour organiser des événements et diverses fêtes annuelles, auxquelles les habitants participent. À Lautrec se trouve un café culturel, le célèbre Café Plùm. Le village de Lautrec et l'arrêt de bus le plus proche étant à 4,5 km, se déplacer en voiture est bien utile, à moins que l'on apprécie la marche à pied. Dans le cas contraire, l'hótesse vous transportera volontiers.

    In a master’s house with its 4-hectare park, on the edge of Livradois and just 20 minutes from Clermont-Ferrand (Auvergne) —or only a few minutes from Vertaizon train station—come and flourish in a setting ideal for meditation and creation.

    The main materials available include wood, leaves, grass, hay (seasonal), soil (ready to dig!), stones, and occasionally various discarded items. The garden and park are perfect for sculptural creations. A well-equipped workshop allows for cutting, sawing, gluing, and welding. Barns (unheated) provide space for your work. A guest room or bed and breakfast accommodation will be available, depending on availability.
