Quels sont vos projets de résidence ? : Il est difficile de prédire son œuvre dans un lieu donné. L'inspiration peut provenir de l'endroit même, d'une rencontre, d'une intuition ou d'un détail. Tout au long de ma vie, j'ai vécu dans des pays qui influencent et redéfinissent mon identité culturelle. Habitant entre la France, Israël et les États-Unis, je suis exposé à des variations de lumière, de texture, de couleurs, de matériaux et à d'énormes différences culturelles, sociales et politiques. En tant qu'artiste, j'ai travaillée avec de nombreux médiums, mais en mettant l'accent sur la photographie et l'installation. Je suis toujours en train d'affiner ma technique et de trouver de nouvelles façons de «capturer le monde qui nous entoure». Pour mon travail photographique, je voudrais développer une série de photographies tirant leur inspiration de mon nouvel environnement pour explorer des fragments de la vie comme une forme abstraite, entrer dans une dimension totalement différente de la réalité. Ma série de photographies sera un mélange de nombreuses photographies combinées ensemble. J'utilise aussi différentes techniques pour réaliser mes projets photos. Pour mon projet d'installation, je suis particulièrement intéressé par le développement d'un projet avec le concept d'accumulation. J'utilise souvent des objets du quotidien comme des canettes, des sacs en plastique, de vieilles chaises, des billets de loterie usagés, des paillassons ... pour exprimer une idée et créer de nouvelles œuvres d'art. J'aime aussi combiner la photographie avec l'installation. Les objets que j'utilise pour mes installations sont toujours liés à un concept. Dans la plupart des cas, ce sont des objets du quotidien. Cependant, chaque objet a une histoire particulière et mon travail consiste à lui donner un nouveau sens quand je l'utilise ou le transforme dans le cadre d'une installation. English : It is difficult to predict one’s artwork in a given location. Inspiration can come either from the place itself, an encounter, an intuition or a detail. Throughout my life I have lived in countries that influence and re-define my cultural identity. Living between, France, Israel and the United States, I am exposed to variations in light, texture, colours, materials and tremendous cultural, social, and political differences. As an artist, I have worked with many mediums, but with a focus on photography and installation. I am always in the process of refining my technique and finding new ways to « capture the world around us ». For my photographic work, I would like to develop a series of photographs sourcing inspiration from my new environment to explore fragments of life as an abstract form, to move into a totally different dimension of reality, and expand my intuition to understand the hidden meanings of the word standardization in my new environment. My series of photographs will be a mix of many photographs combined together. I also use modern techniques (Photoshop) to achieve my concept. For my installation project, I am particularly interested in developing a project with the concept of accumulation . In fact, I often make use of everyday objects like cans, plastic bags, old chairs, used lottery tickets, doormats... to express an idea and to create new art work. I also like to combine photography with installation. The objects I use for my installations are always related to a concept. In most cases, these are everyday objects. However, every object has a particular story and my work is about giving it a new meaning when I use or transform it as part of an installation.

    Salt in eyelashes is a photography and video project about insular teenagers identity and development in Greece. Where bodies reveal and affirm themselves and how they bind to each other in an open space by the sea. It goes along with my other photography projects, mainly “The Lobster Complex” in which I immersed myself in Brussels teenagers sphere. Thereafter, my “Bank” series portraited the skate culture in Luxembourg. More recently, in Formentera, I produced a series of photographs revealing my personal bond with the isle. Since my childhood, I traveled through Greece and its islands, under my parents impluse, who transmitted a piece of insularity through this inimate experience. The islands have sharpened my vision, my education, my way of approaching things and the livings. For me, they are like a second home, a second skin. Today, with Salt in eyelashes, I would like to pursue my teenager world quest with young people who grew up on those Greek islands and tell more about those islands through their bodies, their look and their fragility. My goal is to highlight the voices, the feelings, the stories of those people living or who have lived on an island. Through their testimony, I intend to dig, to feed and exchange knowledge around the subject of adolescence. The final result will be presented as a photography series and research notebooks but also as a video documentary and a paper edition.

    Hi, Iam Karine, from Montréal,  Québec,  french province of Canada. Multidisciplinary artist in quest of new inspiration, new places/ people to discover. In Canada or outside,  Would like to work on paintings/drawings or bigger projet as sculptures if my journey is long enough and if there is available material. I love walking for many hours, gather flowers and making bouquets or arrangment of any sorts. That might interest hosts who own a place where they welcome tourists as a business or simply flower lovers. : ) Ideally the residence would be available for at least a month so i'll have the time to immerge myself by surrounding. To the artists who are interested in a home /artwork exchange, iam open for a suggestion for 2025. Minimum a month. As well i will make an another page later for the one who are seeking place in Montreal. I will offer room/creative place at my home.   My first language is french and my english and spanish are ok.
