„Kultur einer Digitalstadt e.V. » is once again inviting applications for three artist-in-science residencies for artists of all disciplines in January 2023.

A total of three 6-week fellowships will be held between May and October 2023. The studio residency at the Rosenhöhe in Darmstadt is linked to cooperation with one of the three cooperating research institutions. The cooperation partners are the Hessian Centre for Artificial Intelligence (hessian.AI), the GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research and the European Space Operations Centre (ESOC).

The scholarship holders have their own studio at Rosenhöhe and – depending on the possibilities of the cooperating institute – a workplace at the research institutions.
The aims of the programme are: To provide artists with access to institutions, to promote sustainable exchange between science and art, to further develop independent artistic research, and to present and publish the projects carried out during the AiSR.

Description de l’environnement géographique : Studio house on the Rosenhöhe in Darmstadt.The Atelierhaus Ludwig-Engel-Weg 1 is part of the Neue Künstlerkolonie Darmstadt and thus part of the world cultural heritage. The house is located within a park on the edge of the city. But you can also reach the city centre very quickly (20 minutes on foot).
Commodités (wifi, tv, teléphone…) : Own studio, bedroom, bathroom Shared kitchen and living room. With Wifi etc. A six-week stay in the studio house Ludwig-Engel- Weg 1 at Darmstadt‘s Rosenhöhe in the immediate vicinity of Mathildenhöhe • Access to the cooperating institute and work opportunities in accordance with the proposed project and the resources there • A scholarship totalling 3,000 EUR • Reimbursement of travel expenses according to expenditure up to a maximum of € 1,000 • An exhibition space in which to present during or at the conclusion of the residency • Publication and communication of the project via KeD‘s social media channels

    ÉCHANGES D'ATELIERS D'ARTISTES RÉCIPROQUES MAIS PAS FORCÉMENT SIMULTANÉS (destinations européennes privilégiées, les capitales, l'Italie dans son ensemble) DEUX POSSIBILITÉS  : Atelier d'artiste aux Frigos de Paris, dans le 13ème, sans logement et pour une durée limitée (dans un lieu de création étonnant, les Frigos, d'anciennes chambres froides reconverties en un centaine d'ateliers de créateur en tout genre ! dans un quartier très vivant et moderne, à découvrir ! 2° Atelier d'artiste à la campagne, en pleine nature, dans un ancien moulin rénové (avec logement et atelier sur place en rez de jardin) : un bel endroit zen en habitat partagé dans la Vallée e l'Aisne (à seulement 1h30 de Paris), parfait  comme lieu de création, résidence d'artiste, ressourcement, sur un espace arboré, la forêt tout autour, bref, le, bonheur ;) BONUS : Echange de lieu d'exposition et d'exposition, de projets artistiques entre artistes, galeristes, collectionneurs, ou autres, car nous avons aussi une galerie de 100 m2 aux Frigos, L'Aiguillage, dont nous nous occupons avec ma soeur, consacrée aux Arts Visuels au sens large, depuis plus de 20 ans ;) www.aiguillage.paris
