Bonjour! Je m’appelle Lorraine, je suis chanteuse, multi-instrumentiste, auteure-compositrice et poète basée à Genève, en Suisse. J’adore voyager, car cela me permet de trouver l’inspiration à travers de nouvelles rencontres et un changement de décor. Je suis toujours à la recherche d’occasions de me connecter au monde et de défier l’ordinaire.

Hi! My name is Lorraine, I’m a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter; composer and poet based in Geneva, Switzerland. I love traveling as a way to find inspiration through new encounters and a change of scenery – always on the lookout for opportunities to connect to the world and challenge the ordinary.

Propositions artistiques en échange de la résidence (oeuvres, cours, ateliers, dîner, concert...) : Une partie de ma pratique musicale consiste à enseigner le chant: je le fais depuis maintenant 6 ans, dans des écoles et en privé, à des personnes de tous âges, genres et niveaux. En mettant l'accent sur l'intuition, la confiance mutuelle, la joie et l'exploration, je serais ravie de vous proposer des cours de chant si cela vous intéresse! Mais je peux également donner un concert privé. A part of my musical practice is teaching voice: I have been doing it for 6 years now, in schools and in private, to all ages, genders and levels. With a deep focus on intuition, mutual trust, joy and exploration - I would be happy to offer some singing lessons if that is of interest! but I can also happily give a private concert.
Description environment are you looking for ( nature, urban, other…) : En ce moment, je recherche des endroits isolés, calmes et entourés de nature. Ce type de cadre me permet de me centrer profondément et me nourrit d'une manière toute différente de mon mode de vie urbain habituel. At the moment, I am looking for remote, quiet places and natural surroundings. I find nature to be deeply grounding and nurturing in ways that differ from my usual urban lifestyle.
Describe your projects for a residence : Je souhaite me plonger dans la simplicité, structurer mes journées avec des routines qui me permettent de me recentrer, telles que la méditation, la cuisine, et consacrer du temps à la musique et à la poésie. Actuellement, mes recherches portent principalement sur la guitare classique et le chant. I would like to immerse myself in simplicity, structuring my days with grounding routines such as meditation, cooking, and dedicate timeframes to play music and write poetry. At the moment my research is generally focused around classical guitar and singing.

Description of the type of workspace needed (office, studio, rehearsal space…) : One room is enough for me, I don't need any special equipment as I mainly plan to work acoustically. I also enjoy working outdoors if the environment allows it! Une chambre me suffit, je n'ai pas besoin d'installation particulière car je compte principalement travailler en accoustique. J'aime également travailler à l'extérieur si l'environnement le permet!
