Hello! I co-create art with water bodies using crystallography, photography, and pencil drawings. This approach brings together art, science, mindfulness, and an interest in practical ways to work in partnership with nature. I love cats, and animals in general, which I sometimes draw, and write/research about, and I’m a very amateur wildlife photographer. Describe your projects for a residence : My work is a culmination of a long time interest in research that shows how water responds to words and emotions (like Masaru Emoto, and others) as well as ancient & indigenous wisdom traditions whereby water is treated with respect as a living being. My work with water deviates slightly from other crystallographers, as I simply invite each water body to express itself freely. I also draw the frozen crystal formations as a way to work in co-creative partnership with water.
