a place is a space with a meaning – Arts plastiques

I am a nomadic artist based in Berlin working on the intersection of visual art, performance, moving images and applied research. My work investigates transitional states, fragmented realities and the conception of the human condition as absurd. In this context my pieces revolve around the notion of space, time, identity and the sensation of being fluid in between these parameters. This is reflected in an aesthetic of layers and sensitive imageries that always remain indefinite.

Propositions artistiques en échange de la résidence (oeuvres, cours, ateliers, dîner, concert...) : I will be happy to leave you a work of art, inspired by my stay and the surrounding.
Description du lieu recherché (nature, urbain, autre) : In order to fully concentrate on my projects I hope to get out of Berlin for a while. Any place is welcome, may it be in an urban or natural environment. My work is very often informed by places I have been for some time, so I am longing to discover something new.
Quels sont vos projets de résidence ? : At the moment I am investigating the relation of nature/culture. After having completed a video installation called "some star dust matter" for Triennial of Photography in Hamburg I want to focus on making a short movie taking the installation as a starting point. For that I need some time to read, reflect, write and sketch. At the same moment I hope to start a more spontaneous, applied project inspired by the landscape that I find at the residency.

Description du type d’espace de travail souhaité (bureau, atelier, salle de répétition…) : Any workspace can do ! I am very flexible in what I am working on and how I do it.

Hello, I am a painter looking for a host in Spain or southern France. Here is my website: TriciaRatliff.com - I love to paint nature and light through trees or hitting buildings. I'll be in Spain with a friend in May 2027 and would love to stay with a residency host and gift you one of my paintings before flying back to the united states. I will have a car. In addition to painting, hiking and sharing meaningful stories, I also enjoy singing campfire songs in english that make people smile.
