Hello, my name is Julien.

I am a multidisciplinary artist living in Berlin.

As a musician, I produce music between electronic space Pop, modern chanson and cinematic easy listening.
I sing, play guitar and other instruments, compose, arrange, produce and do the cover artwork
I have released 5 album and played in several bands.

As a photographer, I specialise in timeless, experimental portraits and abstract textures in nature. I have recently discovered cyanotype, an experimental printing technique that allows me to add unexpected textures to my photoprints and do analogue photo montages

In parallel, my abstract drawings explore meditation, form and emotion through layered textures and organic shapes,

Together my creations form a cohesive yet boundary-pushing artistic practice.

Describe your projects for a residence : I want to create a new album in a new surrounding in order to get new inspiration. I would love to make field recordings and possibly connect with local artists. Perform some of my music.

    I am a professional popsinger and voice therapist. My mother tongue is german even though i wear one of the most controverse names in french history until now. Every year i host french-german music-holidays for teenagers with VMSF for two weeks. This is why im not fluent but quite okay in french. My goal this year is to find this lonesome gap. A retreat for myself to create, maybe while being connected to other artists. Because it lifts my inspiration. It is a lifelong dream of mine to once stay for some time in France because i just feel drawn there...It would be a JOY to spend it at your place.

    Il réalise des projets dont les deux moteurs fondamentaux sont : La notion de « lien » : lien social, lien entre les différents médiums et entre les différentes pratiques, lien associé à une idée de l’altérité où les nouvelles technologies seraient le moyen d’échanger avec l’autre. La notion de « public », au sens le plus ouvert du terme : « un art ouvert et disponible à tous les publics » et au sens politique et social : « un art qui questionne les libertés publiques et intimes et qui propose des alternatives ». Ces deux approches lui ont permis d’inventer des « objets » et des « matrices » qui questionnent des sujets contemporains et leurs liens avec les nouvelles technologies. Il s’agit de thèmes aussi variés que les médias libres, les sciences, la psychanalyse, le rapport au temps, les usages collaboratifs de l’internet, les problèmes d’identité, de pertes de liberté et les questions d’archivage. Parmi ses derniers projets, Une Intelligence Artificielle Collective qui lutte avec les IA de google & Facebook, Une crypto monnaie temporelle dont le temps est la base d’échange, une plateforme web indépendante d’artistes et d’auteurs, un casque de réalité virtuel connecté au cerveau. Ces projets sont présentés en France et à l’étranger dans des centres d’art ou festivals (Centre Pompidou, Jeu de paume, Gaiété Lyrique…)
