    „Kultur einer Digitalstadt e.V." is once again inviting applications for three artist-in-science residencies for artists of all disciplines in January 2023. Applications can be submitted until 23.02.2023. Applications can be submitted until 23.02.2023. A total of three 6-week fellowships will be held between May and October 2023. The studio residency at the Rosenhöhe in Darmstadt is linked to cooperation with one of the three cooperating research institutions. The cooperation partners are the Hessian Centre for Artificial Intelligence (hessian.AI), the GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research and the European Space Operations Centre (ESOC). The scholarship holders have their own studio at Rosenhöhe and - depending on the possibilities of the cooperating institute - a workplace at the research institutions. The aims of the programme are: To provide artists with access to institutions, to promote sustainable exchange between science and art, to further develop independent artistic research, and to present and publish the projects carried out during the AiSR.     We love to 'make' and share our unique 'makers' space. If you are a creator, danser, musician or inventor we hope you like our artistic campsite. We have a farm on a hill with a 300 km view. Here is nothing, just silence and nature. You can stay here in your own campervan, or we can provide you with a caravan. We have a separate toilet/shower and cooking facility in the barn or you an eat with us. There is a big barn 400m2 available for projects like theatre or film. We have 19 ha of land around the house, with a source and beautiful view. It is a great place if you have an outdoor project, or want to make noise or need space. We also have a piano in a 30m2 room in the house with wooden floor and heating available. We like you to be as autonome as possible. We are happy to facilitate but for the rest it is up to you to create your own workspace. It is also possible to stay a longer period of time.

    FARM STUDIO

    Farm Studio International Artist Residency is located in a rural community in India. Residents stay and create in a quiet art centre and beautiful environment where they can develop their artwork free from accustomed distractions. Farm Studio residency provides three types of working spaces where artists can explore their art and ideas in the rural Rajasthani environment; at the Farm Studio indoor studios, the outdoor desert and farm environments, and in Andore Village.

    Here, collaboration and experimentation is encouraged. Relationships form between the artists coming from different countries and varied social, cultural, and artistic backgrounds. Many exciting exchanges and dialogues among artists take place, including scheduled artist talks, presentations, works in progress showings, etc. Farm Studio also promotes and celebrates the local community’s artistic and cultural identity while also introducing art and culture of others’ (Indian and International guests) back to the community. This intercultural exchange broadens everyone’s experiences and fosters art appreciation.

    Artists of all disciplines creating in any media are welcome to apply: dance, theatre, music, sound, performance art, writing, painting, drawing, printmaking, textiles, culinary, photography, video/film, animation, architecture, sculpture (any material), ceramics, pottery, mixed-media / multi-media, interdisciplinary, installation, and other new/alternative media.
