Ladies Balakai Searching Collaborations – Music
Music - La Baussaine (France) - 05/05/2025Ladies Balakai is a musical duo born from the improbable but perfect meeting between Fiona Mclaughlin, English flautist, and Déborah Colucci, French harpist. It all starts simply: Straight from across the Channel, Fiona finds Déborah on the networks, offers her a cup of tee and some cakes, love at first sight is immediate. From this alchemy a unique musical universe is born, where neo-classical influences meet the captivating rhythms of the Balkans, creating vibrant and deeply original compositions. But Ladies Balakai doesn't stop there. The duo is embarking on an ambitious project: meeting women musicians around the world. Together, they will unite their sensibilities and their musical cultures to create new works, while highlighting the essential place of women in the professional musical environment. Ladies Balakai is much more than a duo. It is a human and artistic adventure, a celebration of diversity and collective creation, carried by two visionary and feminist artists determined to reinvent musical boundaries. Writer Seeking Residency – Writing
Writing - Roubaix (France) - 08/05/2025I will soon be fifty-five, I have been writing for a few months. A rather short first novel, finished or almost, which still requires one or two rereadings. Another, much longer, that I'm starting - between research on the premises and first draft. I have always read, a lot. Some characters have always been with me. There are often brothers and sisters: Franny and Zooey at Salinger, Ada and Van Veen at Nabokov, Franny and John at Irving. There are lost men, grandiose women (almost all of them!), adults who are still children or children who do not yet know what awaits them. I started writing rather late, but I now write every day and today I would have a hard time doing without it. Iowa Bob, the weightlifting grandfather in The New Hampshire Hotel by John Irving, gives his secret: “You’ve got to get obsessed and stay obsessed”. I thought writing was a matter of talent (which I didn't have) and discipline; Perhaps, in reality, it’s just a matter of really wanting it – to the point of obsession.

Looking For A Living Space To Create – Writing
Writing - Saint-Raphaël (France) - 17/05/2025Following a profound spiritual awakening, marked by the dissolution of the feeling of a separate self, writing – long suspended – began to flow again. From this silence, very strong creative impulses emerge today: a show between tale, fable and theater, with burlesque, poetic and deeply human dialogues. A storyteller by heart and voice, today I am driven by a desire: to imagine a play that combines the invisible with the stage. A work that speaks to the soul as much as to laughter, and which can one day be performed in living, open, loving places. To do this, I need to move around, to leave my bearings, to settle somewhere else, a virgin, inspiring space, conducive to creation. I like meeting open-minded people, sensitive to intuition, to mystery, to what cannot be seen but can be felt. If you have a place to offer, a space where we can write, dream, create... I would be honored to discover it. And who knows? Perhaps this place itself will nourish the work to be born.

Poetry Literary Exploration – Writing
Writing - DIGNAC (France) - 20/05/2025Passionate about literature since childhood, it was as a teenager that I began to write poems and stories. My busy life intersects with experiences in care, mediation, and the organization of socio-cultural projects across cities and continents. Human encounters and the gifts of nature sharpen my sensitivity, allowing me to depict my vision of the world through words. Today I want to devote myself fully to what has always been within me and take advantage of time to work on a new project and deepen certain literary bases to refine my creation and diversify the forms of writing. After many years of discreet writing, I published my first collection of poetry entitled Bonne Nuit l’Amour. I am currently working on two other projects and I would wholeheartedly wish for bubbles favorable to creation, launching me on the path of my limitless passion for writing.

Youth Illustrator, Artist – Visual Arts
Visual arts - Le Mans (France) - 02/06/2025Hi, I am Milo, illustrator for the children's edition, and I am published mainly in France, and I am also an artist. Alongside illustration for books, I started illustrating on ceramics and enjoy working with clay when I have the opportunity. In France, alongside my job as an illustrator, I also opened a small art school of which I was the director and where I taught and trained other teachers and also led art therapy workshops. Today, I am a nomad with my family. We discover new countries and new cultures in a motorhome. And I am always looking for an artistic residency to be able to settle down to work on my projects peacefully but also to find new artistic impulses.

Northern Districts – Fine Arts
Fine Arts - Paris (France) - 07/06/2025Visual artist, traveling between Paris and Brussels most of the year, I like to escape from the urban environment periodically, discover new horizons, people, always with a project(s) in mind to carry out, those who have not found the time or space in the workshop, those who will arise from encounters, from the environment.. Last year I had the opportunity to stay in Mondrepuis in the North of France via HostAnArtist, a superb human and artistic experience that I would like to relive this year. Currently, I am working on different sculpture projects, some in ceramic, others using manufactured materials like tape or confetti. I'm looking for a space to stay for one or two weeks, a room is enough, a workshop is a plus, but not obligatory if it is possible to work outdoors. Between June and September, rather central, northern and western France (let's say: from La Rochelle via Montluçon, Troyes, Reims and Lille!).. All proposals welcome Instagram: _elodiehuet

Heat Objects – Visual Arts
Visual arts - Grenoble (France) - 16/06/2025What can artists and designers do in the Anthropocene era, in the face of climate change, global warming, the scarcity of fossil resources and the increase in energy costs? What answers can they provide in terms of winter and summer comfort, and energy efficiency for users? Public policies and construction stakeholders are focusing their efforts on the energy rehabilitation of the existing stock but in a long-term time frame which cannot respond to the urgency of the situation. Also, faced with domestic energy poverty and the generalization of teleworking, rather than heating or cooling the air in a space, we are developing reflective work on the body, as an extension of the SlowHeat research program initiated by the “Architecture and Climate” laboratory of the Catholic University of Louvain. How can we heat or cool our anatomy using energy-efficient accessories? How can we offer useful, suitable, adaptable, appropriable and dismantling objects that make sense? We imagine plural, low-tech devices, revisiting the principle of clothing, heaters, in the form of accessories that could be attached to existing furniture like a suit. Table skirt, chair mantle, so many devices that we want to explore, while making them reversible, for multiple uses out of season. Beyond offering the user the possibility of becoming an actor in their thermal regulation, this approach also involves making them autonomous through manual practices: weaving, knitting, sewing... These objects of warmth and freshness seek to create connections, to exchange practices, to extend know-how, to transmit gestures. These devices, manufactured or DIY, will create new sensations and new bodily practices.

Artist Sharing Project, “Flores De Andalucía” House – Nature
Nature - Saint Bérain (France) - 29/06/2025Hello, my name is Diego and I am from Andalusia (Spain). I have lived in France for five and a half years, the last four of which have been in the Gorges de l'Allier. I am an art and nature photographer. I speak French fluently, I am a native Spanish speaker and I have some knowledge of English. Two years ago, I bought an old farm from 1977 with its various buildings. I am renovating what will be my main residence and, at the same time, I am creating a secondary residence where I plan to accommodate a shared accommodation of artists. The objective of this roommate is to be a place for exchange and development of the career of each artist, by creating spaces for collaboration, creation and exhibition of different artistic creations.
